 Sparkle sparked a serious love and obsession for unicorns in my houseMay 02, 2011

It all started with Sparkle, a silly little unicorn riding along in her plush pink purse with her name emblazoned with stars on one side. Our daughter was, quite suddenly, unicorn mad. Everything unicorn ALL the time.
Sparkle became the fifth member of our family. She came to dinner, attended library functions, and even road-tripped with us all the way to Disneyland, stopping at the Grand Canyon along the way. Sparkle's biggest moment, however, came when she was not present. She was sadly MIA, and my daughter became grief-stricken and was inconsolable. Daddy, thinking he was onto something, bought her a new sparkle and tried to present it to her as THE Sparkle. But, oh no...This would not do! This impostor clearly had a different fur texture, different eyes, and even smaller stars on the purse. Major, major dramas. Looked the same to us, but nope. Rejected. Sparkle #2 was made to live in exile in our front closet. The mourning period went on as we had given up all hope... One day, an amazing discovery was made. Sparkle! THE Sparkle! Was found wedged between the mattress and the headboard. Our daughter was overjoyed. Sparkle #2 was finally permitted to leave the closet and was welcomed into the fold.
Well over a year later now, we are still in the thick of unicorn obsession. And Sparkle #1 and Sparkle #2 are BFFs. Peace and joy in the land.

My daughter loved this Christmas gift. It is small and sweet. You can take the unicorn out of the pouch as well.

My daughter received Sparkle for her 3rd Birthday. We've had her for a yr and half. Sparkle goes everywhere with her. From morning breakfast to our bkyard sandbox. Sparkle goes w/her in the car, to the park, and of course to bedtime. Her little pink carrier/purse works great; just note there are openings even when zipped all the way. It doesn't seem to matter since my daughter still uses it to carry Sparkle and other fun things. We've taken Sparkle and her purse filled to the brim on airplanes and roadtrips! Sparkle takes alot of baths w/my daughter. I try to minimize to a few times a week. She's even been filled w/soap suds! Sparkle's still ok after mommy wrings and rinses out all of the soap. I've machine washed her on gentle cycle and put her in the dryer on occasion. The signs of aging are on her hooves. The irridescent (Lahmay) fabric is fraying a bit and her Gold (Lahmay) horn is a bit dented and loosing color on the very tiptop. Both of the fabrics (spelled correctly as lame) seem to be high quality. However, I now use a hair dryer for the occasional quick dry vs the clothes dryer. Sparkles most recent adventure is being a client in my daughter's pretend beauty salon. I think she is a well made stuffed animal w/flexible legs that lay out and she still sits upright w/her head held strait up. Perfect for styling her mane. As another reviewer stated there is a purple ribbon and flower sewn to the left side of her neck. It's just fine. Looks good and still secure after all the living and love she's had for the past year and half. I'm online to get Sparkle a BFF. We've picked Venus w/out a travel purse. But before I finished my transaction I just had to let everyone know the great quality we found with Sparkle!!

Smaller Than Expected, But That's a Good Thing!Oct 12, 2011

What really matters is that my 5 year old daughter loves Sparkle. Any kid who likes unicorns would like this toy. It was smaller than I expected - about the size of a beanie baby. In fact, I think the bag would probably perfectly fit beanie babies. What the image doesn't show is a sewn on bow with a fabric rose on the unicorn. A little room left in the bag for other small things that my daughter likes to carry, like lip gloss, hair bands, etc. I like the small size because it isn't intrusive anywhere, including when we go out to eat at a restaurant.

Sparkle is a cute and fun take along toy. Small, but not too small, Sparkle will make kids happy. My 5 year old daughter loves Sparkle. I do not love the quality of sparkle. Sparkle keeps having to be repaired because she comes apart at the seams. In fact, most of the Aurora plush toys we have come apart at the seems and require Mommy to play stuffed animal surgeon. Cute toy, but seriously poor quality.
