Great Edu-tainment! - A review of the Thomas Matching GameSep 10, 2005
By Pam Tee

Oh My Gosh, these Thomas games are great. I don't know who thought them up but they are wonderful teaching aids. They take many of the common educational games and rework them using Thomas and his Friends.
With this game you get 4 playing boards (they call these `lotto style' boards for reasons unclear to me-but their just playing boards LOL) and 36 character cards. With these preschoolers and kindergartners can play matching and memory and `what's missing' games.
Five Stars. Trainloads of fun and we have found that it is an excellent way to teach our little guy to take turns and practice memory skills. (He's 3.5 at present.)
[This will be the second Thomas game we purchased. The first was the Thomas 'Number Game'. Great for math. I recommend you check it out.]

My son is 2 and he got this for Christmas from "Santa:)." He absolutely loves it! He has learned all the Thomas characters and we play the matching game to help build his skills and recall. It's a great game for 2+ and Mommy and Daddy love to play it with him!

Terrific GameJul 28, 2010
By wildblueberry I selected this gift for my son when he was 3. I did not have high expectations, just that I thought he might like it because it was Thomas. We broke it out on a rainy day and played for hours. He has really enjoyed this game, from learning the names of all the trains, to leading the game by announcing them. The cards and boards are sturdy. This game really opened the door to him enjoying other card and board games. And, it is fun for mom to play too!
Best Introduction to Games for a Little OneNov 30, 2011
By Cindy My youngest child is a little bit of a nut. She is two and has never been able to sit still for more than a minute, even when she was a baby. She is always on the go. So I never thought she'd sit long enough to play a game.
However, when she pulled this Thomas game off the shelf, I was amazed. The game play is short, which is perfect, but I was shocked at how she sat and played several rounds with me. We now play it almost every day, and she never gets bored. Now, she knows all the names of the characters and has learned all the basics of game play (taking turns, winning and losing, etc). I only wish I could find more games that are simple and fun like this!
