I bought this for my son who was 1 1/2 at the time. He absolutely LOVES it. He has lots of puzzles and matching games to choose from and he ALWAYS chooses this one first. For as much as he plays with it, it is quite durable. We make two columns--one for words and one for pictures. At first he was matching them by color/shape, but eventually he learned to match them by picture/word. I highly recommend this eeBoo "game" as well as the other eeBoo matching games (Classic Memory Game, Pre-school colors, Pre-school numbers, Faces, etc.).

I am a mom and my daughter is starting to read small words. This really helps her practice. I really like the puzzle I only have one little drawback. It is a tiny one and probably just me being picky. All the different pairs are different colored backgrounds. So sometimes instead of trying to read and sound out the word she would just look for the picture that has the same colored background. I think it would be more beneficial if all the pieces were the same color so the child would have to sound out the word. Other than that I really like this product. The pieces seem quite durable, therefore I consider it a valuable and educational addition to a playroom.

Excellent way to begin pre-literacy activites with your child. My 3 year old enjoys playing with the simple words puzzles.... I may consider additional puzzle pairs, such as opposites! I love the Eeboo products!

Purchased as a Christmas gift for our 3-year-old, so he received a puzzle like his older siblings. We did it once, and he seemd to enjoy it and want to finish all of the matches. That said, he has not touched it since. Perhaps when he is a year or so older and really starting the reading process.

My grandson will be receiving this today for Christmas - he loves word games.
This seemed like a great fit for him. Cute and educational.
