Cute lil buggerJun 09, 2008
By Tavius Bautatus I bought this toy as a gag gift for my girlfriend, who was assailed on dark and not so stormy night by a real praying mantis. Imagine her horror as she saw this terrifying nugget sitting on her desk first thing in the morning!
Ok...so it didn't scare her....but she loved it anyway!
Worked perfectly as a mascot for a FIRST Robot competition.Mar 27, 2011
By Nan Curtiss Students in Hillsdale, NJ built a Robot for the FIRST Robotic Competition. Name of Robot : Mantisaurus - because it's design reminded them of a praying mantis. Your praying mantis (Mini flopsie) did the job perfectly as a mascot in competition in Trenton, NJ. In 2 weeks they will go to the Regional Competition in Richmond, VA. Because they came in first (of 61 schools) they will be going to the Championship Finals in St. Louis the end of April.
The mascot did its job!
