Durable and EducationalJan 25, 2011
By C. Madden
"Blake Madden"
Pros:
1. Very educational. Includes some interesting stats (e.g., population, size) for each province, and it's a nice touch having everything in English and French. It's a fun way for my 4-year-old to learn about our friends up north.
2. Nice artwork. It has lots of cute pictures on each province, and other things like whales and boats in the oceans. The Aurora Borealis is also shown.
3. Thick pieces, so it will survive a lot of use.
Cons:
1. Just being nitpicky here, but the provinces aren't as precisely cut as Melissa & Doug's USA puzzle. It makes it a little difficult getting an understanding of the shapes of the provinces.

Canada map puzzleDec 24, 2011
By erinoftwins I thought that this Canada puzzle would be just like the USA puzzle. Each province would be it's own piece and there wouls be not extra pieces. This is not the case. The puzzle does have a different piece for each province, but the shapes are not 100% accurate and there are lots of extra random pieces such as strange cut outs of the ocean, the word Canada, etc. I plan to glue these 'extra' pieces onto the puzzle so that only actual provinces and territories can be removed.

All goodJun 01, 2011
By Neil W. Aubuchon We love all the wooden toys created by Doug & Melissa. This one is also durable, easy for little hands to handle, lot of information painted in the front, all good. The only complaint is that some of the pictures are not well-placed. I would have put the skier in BC, the capitol buildings further east to where Ottawa really is, just a few tweaks like that. Otherwise, great for kids learning the provinces in Canada, overall very happy. Can't go wrong adding it to your toy room.

NiceSep 20, 2010
By JoeSarks Wasn't happy with this puzzle when I took it out of the package---looked too difficult for my two-year old---who had already mastered the US puzzle. But, after a couple weeks, she had this puzzle down pat and still enjoys playing with it. Shapes are a little strange, but with few puzzles of Canada available, this one does the trick.
Great idea. Horrible designJun 17, 2013
By Avic I love Melissa and Doug toys. So I bought this one to help my son to learn about daddy home country. But the puzzle is cut in a very awkward way. You can find weird cuts of the ocean where probably would of been better to be glued to the board, the same happens with the US section that is shown in the map. Also this map should be provinces and territories, but Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI are cut as a province, when they are really 3 different provinces. I understand that those 3 provinces are known as the Maritime, but the maritime are not a province. This could cause lots of confusion.
