 Playmobil road sweeper is a great toy!Jul 23, 2009

I purchased this toy for my son birthday party it works great the gutter brooms and main broom work while your pushing it and the gravel that comes with it gets pick up and put into the hooper. The cab and hopper doors dump and the work personal comes in safety uniform. This is a great product my son can play with a toy that looks similar to dads work truck.

I purchased this toy for my son who is CRAZY about street sweepers and he absolutely loves it. The moving brushes sweep up the gravel (included) and is quite fun to play with. I only wish it could clean up real dirt around the house:)

My 3 year old is in love with the street sweeper. This is a fun toy, but it has to be assembled and there are very small pieces, it actually comes with tiny pebbles to sweep up! But it also sweeps up dust, lint, hairballs, etc. It's made of hard plastic parts and so far it's held up to basic playing, but if someone steps on it or drops it, it will be finished. So, not an heirloom, but fun for what it is.

I was really disappointed in this product. It comes with hundreds of these tiny blue "rocks" that wind up everywhere all over the house. Really bad design idea. They're extremely hard to clean up. The actual street sweeper isn't as functional as I was hoping for. The real sweeping action comes from the sweeper below the sweeper, but my son thought the front sweepers were the fun part and liked to spin them around, but they didn't actually do anything. To make matters worse, the front sweepers are really just an attachment that doesn't really lock on well, so they fell off and went missing very shortly after purchasing this toy.
If it weren't for the blue rocks, this product might be ok, but the problem is, the blue rocks are the only thing the sweeper can really pick up. So the toy isn't really fun without them, but it is an extremely messy toy when you use it.
I put the blue rocks away months ago and I'm *still* finding them all over my house.
Would pass on this product. It's unfortunate that there aren't a lot of street sweeper toy opinions out there, but I wouldn't recommend this one.

Santa brought this for one of my boys. It is much loved. It seems quite durable, although we've only had it for about a week. The blue chip pieces are tiny.
