My soon to turn three year old daughter loves this placemat. The first time she used it, she requested a fork and a knife, even though she didn't need them for her meal, because she wanted to set the table according to the mat. She enjoys eating her meals with a properly set table now!

My kids love this, it makes them excited about setting the table. It definitely helps keep the mess of the table cloth as well. My complaint would be that the colors strip very easily and very quickly. The back-side is all black-and-white of the same picture as the front so they flip it to the other side too. I haven't bought the coloring crayons that can be used with this, I hadn't realized that you needed to buy specific markers so my kids don't get to color on it either. All-in-all not bad for the price and functional.

This has helped tremendously to get the table set while I am finishing up dinner. Often times I am home alone with 3 small children. In the past when I asked them to set the table, things just got grown up there. Now there is a picture to show them and they even folded the napkins like it had on the mat. Have not tried coloring on it-- and we may not even go there!
Impressed with the thickness/durability.
