I ordered these for a bunch of 4 year olds to paint for a birthday party. It was the main activity and the favor. Everyone had a great time, although the paint did stain some of the shirts. Some assembly was required, but the directions were good. Melissa and Doug offers such good quality and fun products - we were happy.

I did this project with my 3 year old son. He had fun with it, although, you have to wait several hours for the glue to dry, and at least 2 hours for the paint to dry. Also, the stickers didn't fit the car right, and they did not stick well. Finally, the wheels don't turn, so they can't really drive it after it's all said and done. but, he had fun painting it.

The idea and packaging for this car look promising. Our five-year old enjoyed painting, gluing and assembling the car. However, the stickers provided do not adhere to the wood at all, and the wheels do not turn. Our son thought he failed in putting the car together, since, in the end, it did not work. The idea for this product is nice, however, the quality is disappointingly poor. I gave three stars for "educational value", since we used this product to explain to our son the "garbage in, garbage out" concept.

Bought this for my nephew as a just because I love you and miss you gift. Good bang for your buck! Not very expensive and my nephew loved it.
