I got this for my two and a half year old and he LOVES it. He needs help putting it together, but he really likes to point out the different types of sea creatures once we have helped him. He is constantly asking to put together the puzzle. This thing also stands up to his little brother who is under one. This little guy crawls up to it, drools all over it, crawls over it, and it seems to withstand the abuse pretty well. I will probably end up purchasing another one of these large type Melissa & Doug puzzles since the kids like it so much.

The pieces arrived worn from rubbing against each other and the inside of the box. I ran my fingers along the worst pieces and the color came off. My daughter had some fun putting this puzzle together, but it's not going to last. The puzzle piece edges and corners are sticking up and will break off very soon. I realize that cardboard puzzles aren't made to last forever, but a children's puzzle shouldn't be falling apart straight out of the box. We bought two Melissa & Doug puzzles this Christmas and we were disappointed in the quality of both.

Our son whom is almost 3 (2yr, 10mo) loves putting this puzzle together. He has a harder time getting this one together than the safari social. Both he and our dogs walk across the puzzle as it is being put together on carpet floors and it is still in great shape. I am very happy with the overall quality of this puzzle. in fact I look forward to getting some more.

This puzzle is so huge and fun. My daughter just loves to put this together. Challenging enough for a two and a half year old and older. Pieces are extra durable, thick cardboard. This puzzle will last!!!
