My 3 month old loves this little stuffed critter. I think it's his favorite toy. He loves to grab it and put it in his mouth, maybe because the bright colors interest him, or maybe because the caterpillar's feet are approximately the size of nipples. Either way, I'm glad it is machine washable.

I searched high and low for Eric Carle toys that go with his books and this one tops the charts. This was purchased for an autistic child who does not show emotions and his eyes lit up upon seeing this and the other Eric Carle toys from Brown Bear to Hungry Caterpillar.

For Easter this year I made my 1 yo son a 'Very Hungry Caterpillar' Easter basket and this topped it off nicely! Well made and I know it will last, he loves to snuggle with it :)

After a sudden addiction to Eric Carle's Very Hungry Caterpillar, I had to buy one of these for each of my kids (5 and 7). Both of them love their little caterpillars. The caterpillar is a soft fuzzy green, and each one is slightly different which makes it easy to tell them apart. They are well-made. Both have been through all sorts of abuse in my house and still stay strong and cute. If only it transformed into a beautiful butterfly at the end of a long day. But at least they don't eat out of my garden!
